HISTORY:
In 1824 Megalosaurus bucklandi became the first "dinosaur"
to be described and given a proper scientific name. It was Scientist and British geologist, William Buckland (1784–1856), the Dean of Westminster, who first described Megalosaurus.

Megalosaurus literally means “big reptile.” Its remains were
discovered in a quarry at Stonesfield in Oxfordshire, England.
At that time, however, the word 'dinosaur' did not yet exist. Although Megalosaurus was a typical two legged meat-eater, (Therapod) in 1824 it was thought to walk on four legs like a big lizard and be an extinct relative of the modern iguana. It wasn't until 20 years later, in 1842, that Sir Richard Owen came up with the word 'dinosauria' which means "terrible reptiles" to describe these spectacular fossil creatures which were being discovered.

Triceratops Jaws ( Baby )
Age: Late Cretaceous
 65-68 million years old
Location: Jordan , Montana
Size : 5 1/4" long each
Price : $ 110.00 each
Item #  dino/trijawbaby- bsr/110cm

FYI: In 2006 near Jordan, Montana, a Triceratops quarry was discovered.
 The quarry
contained a sub-adult Triceratops partial skull and skeleton, and elements from a baby Triceratops. The first two elements from the baby that were found were the left humerus and the right dentary. The humerus (6.25" long) was complete and dentary was 50% complete. As preparation continued on the sub-adult material, the left dentary was discovered! This one was complete, allowing for the length of the dentary to be known (5.25 inches)! With the left one found complete, the right one could be reconstructed.

Now, these very rare and unique replicas are available. Each dentary has a tooth in it! This is truly a unique set of replicas. With these elements, it can be estimated how big the triceratops was. It is guessed to be under 3 feet long, with a skull less than 12 inches!
